Origin: USA

Therapeutic actions: Cathartic; Diuretic; Emetic; Emmenagogue; Expectorant; Febrifuge; Odontalgic; Rubefacient; Sedative; Stimulant; Tonic.

Drug interactions: No known drug interactions.

Description: It is a specific for bronchial and throat problems.

Internal uses: Blood root is used in very small doses, mostly as an expectorant. It is used in

many pharmaceuticals for the heart, teeth and migraines. It has also been good for halitosis and cancer.

External uses: It has been used for eczema, sores and other disorders of the skin. Other uses: syphilis, warts, hemorrhoids, tumors and cancer.

Suggested dosage: Tincture: 1/2 ml daily.

Caution: Do not use if pregnant. Larger doses tend to be sedative, cause nausea and vomiting and excess dosage can be fatal.
