Most back problems are associated with long-term habits which eventually result in an acute attack. Lower back pains are common and may become a chronic problem. Causes include deep emotional stress, poor posture, improper footwear and walking habits, slouching, improper lifting, sleeping on a too-soft mattress, kidney/bladder problems, female pelvic disorders, arthritis, rheumatism, bone disease, slipped disc, deteriorated disc, sciatica, and abnormal curvature of the spine.
