Drug interactions: No known drug interactions.
Description: It has been used as a decongestant and a mild antiseptic.
Internal uses: It reduces inflammation by helping increase blood flow. It has been able to relax sore and tired muscles. It is used as an inhalant for asthma, diphtheria, sore throats, sinus and respiratory problems.
Other uses: Malarial diseases, neuralgia, sties, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and low back pain.
External uses: One ounce steeped in one pint of water makes a good bath for skin ulcers and rashes. It is useful as a chest rub for coughs and excess phlegm. It has been used for cuts, skin infections, typhoid, scarlet, genital herpes, rheumatism and other fevers. Also has been used to treat Genital herpes and rheumatism.
Suggested dosage: As an oil 0.05—0.2 ml per day. Tincture 6—10 drops 3 times daily, mix with water.
Caution: Do not use if have inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal and bile ducts and severe diseases of the liver. Do not use more than recommended dosage of oil.
