Description: One of the most well-known healing plants, especially for its ability to heal tissue and bone (due to its allantoin content), which promotes the growth of connective tissue, bones, cartilage and is easily absorbed through the skin.
Internal uses: It is used in the treatment of a wide range of pulmonary complaints, such as asthma, bronchitis, pleurisy, emphysema and internal bleeding. It has been a beneficial remedy for respiratory disorders, gastric ulcers and colitis. Considered an over-all tonic; good for the stomach, liver, kidneys and bowels.
Other uses: Mental fatigue, cramps in the legs, coughs, colds, anemia, pain, arthritis and infections.
External uses: Comfrey is especially useful in the external treatment of cuts, bruises, sprains, sores, eczema, varicose veins and broken bones. It is also beneficial for bedsores, bites, inflamed bunions, dermatitis, dry skin, psoriasis, nosebleeds and sunburn.
Suggested dosage: Topical use only
Caution: FDA says for external use only. Excessive consumption may be carcinogenic to the liver. Do not use while pregnant. Keep out of reach of children.
